TOC Champions
The Mill Creek White Sox (Majors BB) are the TOC Champions!
The White Sox did it in an amazing come from behind fashion, trailing Pacific 8-1 in the second inning before rallying to an 11-9 victory. Every player on the team contributed to the victory but fortunes were definitely turned in our favor by a 2-run double from Colton Matter. What an amazing game, tournament, and season!!
Congratulations White Sox!

Mill Creek Little League Welcomes our New VP of Baseball, Rob Anders!

I'd like to take a moment to introduce myself to those of you that don't know me yet. My name is Rob Anders and this year I am taking over the role of VP of baseball for Doug Oda. I, and all of us associated with Mill Creek Little League would like to formally thank Doug for the countless hours he has given to the league and all that he has done for so many kids in our area. All of his efforts and hard work to better our league is very much appreciated and I hope that I can continue to do as he has done for our kids.

A little about me…I have been volunteering in Mill Creek Little league for many years now and have helped, coached, or managed teams in rookie, farm, minors, majors, juniors, seniors, and most recently the 9-10 All Star team. All of them were great experiences and while my work commands 50-60+ hours a week I wouldn't trade my time with these kids for the
world.

I always remind myself when I am trying to talk myself out of volunteering again that before I know it my boys will be off to college and I will regret it if I don't do as much as possible for them while they are here ith me. My youngest son Dylan will be league age 11 this year, a returning player for the Braves, and will have a couple more years in the league at least. . My absolute favorite thing about living in Mill Creek has been Mill Creek Little League. The involvement of so many in the community and how many good friends we have made through this baseball community is priceless and I'm sure many of you feel the same. This league is run by volunteers that have several things in common. We love our kids, our community, and baseball!

It may seem early but we are in the planning stages of the 2013 Mill Creek Little League baseball season and we are looking for more people to help make 2013 the best baseball season Mill Creek has had yet. . The call is going out for manager applications for the 2013 season.

You may have already managed a team last season but we are asking that everyone regardless of whether or not they managed a team last season applies and fills out an application. Everyone who wishes to be considered for a manager position will have an in person interview, as we are looking to get all of our managers up to speed with some ideas and standards that we wish to employ league wide this upcoming season.

You may think that because you never played baseball at a high level that you wouldn't make a good manager or coach and I can say that couldn't be farther from the truth. We have many coaching camps and clinics as well as other volunteers in the league to help you learn good coaching techniques and help with practice plans. What is needed more than anything is people that have a good head and love for the game, regardless of playing experience, are good with the kids, and want to see them excel in the greatest game the world has known (can you tell that I love baseball?).

Managing a team is never done alone…good coaches need to be selected and help greatly and our community is full of these great people so you shouldn't be having to go it alone. If you can make yourself available to manage a team at any level please fill out the application. The deadline for majors/minors applications is just a couple of weeks out so please return it as soon as possible.

Thanks very much for your time and consideration. I look forward to the 2013 season and meeting even more of our baseball community.

Regards,

Robert Anders, VP Baseball

Thunder Win Monfiletto Invitational
Mill Creek Thunder Softball team wins the 1st annual Tony Monfiletto Invitational
over a tough Marysville team 8-7
.

The score went back and forth all game. Mill Creek was the home team and Marysville was up 7-6 in the bottom of the 6th. Some timely hitting and some great base running by Mill Creek, put the tying run on 3rd and the go ahead run on 2nd. A past ball scored the tying run, runner on 2nd advances to 3rd and a perfectly laid bunt scores an aggressive runner sliding into home for the winning run! Great job girls!!!

A huge Thank You goes out to South Snohomish Little League for a great tournament!!!!
