Schedule
Generally, the Spring Season begins during the first week of April and goes through the middle of June - coaches will contact families with specific dates. Review a summary of key dates and special events for the Spring Season.
Eligibility
Players of all skill levels, ages 4-16, who live in or go to school in MCLL boundaries are encouraged to play. No experience is necessary. Everyone will be placed on a team!
Field Locations
Each division has a "home field". Review our locations here. The league's "home field" is Freedom Field.
Game & Practice Times
Generally, teams practice 1 time during the week and have 1 game per week. Practices typically begin around 5:00pm. Weekday games start at 5:00 pm or 7:00 pm. Weekend games begin between 9:00 am and 7:00 pm.
League Boundaries
Use the Little League Finder to confirm the player's appropriate league. Players who live south of 132nd St. SE and north of 180th St. SE, and within the Everett School District boundaries to the east and west, will play in Mill Creek Little League.
League Age
Your player’s league age is determined by the Little League Age Charts. The dates for baseball and softball are different, but each determines the division that your player will be in.
- Age Determination Date for a Baseball player is the actual age of a child on Aug. 31 of the current year.
- Age Determination Date for a Softball player is the actual age of a child on Dec. 31 of the previous year.
Divisions
We offer several divisions during the regular Spring Season. Differences include ages, pitching distances, base path length, coach vs. player pitching, etc. Not all divisions are formed each year, it depends on if there are enough players to field a team. Sometimes, we are able to partner with other leagues in order to form a team. Review the general descriptions of baseball and softball divisions.
Player Evaluations
Player evaluations help determine the appropriate level of play for a player’s skill set and player safety. The details regarding player evaluations are summarized below. Contact our Player Agent if you have any questions.
- Evaluation occur each February.
- Only the players that are trying out for Minors and Majors (and All Stars) need to attend.
- Farm, Rookies and tee-ball players do not have evaluations.
- Players in the Minors and Majors divisions must participate in evaluations each year.
- Players only need to attend one session, but are encouraged to attend both sessions.
- Bring your gear (baseball helmet, gloves, bats, and face mask (softball)).
- Arrive early to check in and warm up.
Opponents
During the regular spring season, our MCLL teams play against other MCLL teams in the same division and sometimes against other local little leagues. Minors and Majors participate in post season invitational tournaments and All Stars Tournaments, which are played against other local little leagues.
Registration Fees
Registration fees include the cost of uniforms (baseball: jersey and hat only | softball rookies: jersey and visor; softball minors/majors: jersey and socks). Registration fees help pay for field rental and maintenance, baseball and softball equipment, safety equipment and education expenses, insurance, background checks and other fees.
Discounts
For families registering more than one child, we offer a $25 discount for each additional player. And, if the children are in the same division, and you would like them to be on the same team, please contact our Player Agent. We do not offer an early-bird discount at this time.
Financial Aid & Scholarships
We offer scholarships and payment plans. To request Financial Aid, submit the Financial Aid Request Form to our Player Agent. T-Mobile also offers assistance through their “Call Up Grant Program”.
Buddy Requests
At the time of registration, requests can be made for the player to be placed on the same team as their buddy (lower divisions only). MCLL will do its best to honor requests, but they are not guaranteed.
Division Changes
If your player is eligible for various divisions based on age, they register for a higher division (i.e majors), but ends up playing for a lower division (i.e. minors), the Player Agent will issue a credit for the differences in registration fees.
Parent Involvement
While volunteering is not required, all parents are encouraged to get involved, to ensure we can provide the best experience possible to our players, fans and coaches. We ask that adults help with concessions, as team or safety parents, umpiring, score keeping, game announcing, drills at practice, special events, etc. Review our volunteer job descriptions to learn more.
