Team Parent Role
If you are new to youth sports or Little League baseball or softball, you may be wondering what Team Parents are supposed to do. Team Parents help to make the Little League experience organized and fun – for parents, coaches, and players. They help with administrative tasks, so that coaches can spend all their time developing players on the field. Team Parents typically help with things such as coordinating volunteer duties, share reminders with families, order Little League Day parade banners, coordinate team gatherings, help coaches with recognition, distribute team pictures and uniforms, etc.
Team Parent Assignments
As soon as registration closes, the league will create teams and coaches will reach out to players’ families. Even if you signed up during registration to be a Team Parent, please tell the Director of Team Parents and your coach as soon as possible that you would like to help with this role.
Team Parent Checklist - Spring Season
Team Parents should review our Team Parent Checklist. This is a list of recommended tasks for you to do as the Team Parent, before and throughout the spring season.
Parent Welcome Packet
All parents/guardians should review the Parent Welcome Packet. The packet includes a checklist for all parents, and information regarding certain season-opener tasks that will help them prepare for the season ahead. We recommend that Team Parents share this packet with players' families.
