Player Evaluations

Little League® player evaluations, also referred to as tryouts, are an annual activity for all local leagues, whether a league redrafts all of its team rosters each year or only selects players to fill out rosters in the Major Baseball and Major Softball divisions.

MCLL Evaluations
Evaluations occur each February. Players only need to attend ONE session.
All players who attend evaluations will be placed on a team. No players are "cut".

  • What if my child is injured or too ill to attend evaluations? Player can check in at evaluations and be excused as injured/ill.
  • My child has a conflict with his/her age group's assigned time(s). Can he/she attend another age group's time? Please make every effort to attend evaluations at the assigned times for your child. However, they can attend another age group's time if absolutely necessary.
  • How many evaluations should my child attend? They must attend 1 evaluation, but are welcome to attend all if they would like more opportunities to show their skills or if they enjoy being on the field.
  • What is the format? There will be ground ball, fly ball, hitting, base running and pitching stations.
