Volunteers

Why Should I Become a Volunteer?
Little League Baseball and Softball is an organization designed to build good citizens. It is a program of leadership, preparing today’s youth to be tomorrow’s leaders. At the local level, Little League relies on a devoted legion of adult volunteers to help ensure that the organization remains structured and runs smoothly. MCLL is always looking for responsible and enthusiastic individuals to support and coordinate Little League events and activities. As a volunteer, you should have a keen interest in the safety, well-being, and overall development of children.

Team Parents
Team Parents are essential to help keep our organization running smoothly and giving our children the best Little League experience possible. Your assistance helps our Managers and Coaches stay out on the field with the players, while the Team Parent assists with some of our Manager's and Coach's off-the-field responsibilities. Please read the Team Parent Responsibilities Summary or contact us to learn more.

Board of Directors
A list of open volunteer positions can be found on our Board of Directors page. Review the job descriptions to learn about the various positions.

Special Events Coordination
If you would like to help coordinate special events, please contact us. We could use your help to help plan gear exchange events, player evaluations, BBQs, food drives, fundraising and more.

Badges
All volunteers need to go through a background check and obtain a MCLL badge. Here is how!

  • Send your first/last name to [email protected].
  • Send a picture of yourself if this is your first time applying for a badge.
  • An email from our 3rd party background check company will be sent to the email address you provide.
  • Complete the background check application.
  • Your badge will be created once the league receives notification of your clearance.

Badges will be available for pick up at evaluations. After evaluations, badges will be available for pick up at D-Bat during normal business hours (18421 Bothell Everett Hwy Suite #150).

Donations / Matching
If you volunteer in any capacity (Coach, Snack Shack, Team Parent, etc.), check with your employer and see if they have a matching gifts program for volunteer hours. Those matching dollars help MCLL stay within budget and provide the services that make Mill Creek Little league as great as it is!Currently, Mill Creek Little League is set up with Microsoft and T-Mobile (through Benevity) and Boeing (through Cybergrants.) We are listed under those organizations' programs as "Mill Creek Little League". If you have any questions or need us to set up under your organization's program, please contact us at [email protected]
